Braintree Town Football Club is owned and managed by Braintree Town Football Club Limited, company registration number: 02050949. No one person or entity has overall control of the company, but the share holders that have a significant interest in the company (who own more than 10% of the authorised and issued shares) are as follows: L Harding 38.78%, K Cowell & Cowell & Cooper Limited 38.78%, V Dixon 10.33%. The capacity of the Cressing Road Stadium currently stands at 4,222.  The ground has a recently extended Main Seated Stand (above) that can accommodate 553 spectators including six wheelchair spaces.  The Clubhouse End of the ground (above) has recently been upgraded with a new terrace. This end of the ground can accommodate 1,131 spectators.   The Cressing Road side of the ground (above) can accommodate 1,130 spectators, with room for 755 under cover.  The Quag End of the ground can accommodate 1,408 spectators. The floodlighting at the Cressing Road Stadium has recently been upgraded to over 250 lux to meet the entry requirements to the Football League. This upgrade, together with six new turnstiles and a total refurbishment of the dressing rooms was completed in March 2007 at a cost of over £600,000 to meet the ground grading requirements for entry into the National League in 2011. A further £200,000 was spent on improvements to the Cressing Road Stadium, including additional turnstiles, toilets, terracing, etc., during season 2011-12 to secure The Football Association's 'A' Grade to ensure that the ground met the entry criteria for promotion to the Football League.
